Casper is looking for a Senior Manager - Inventory Planning & Allocation to support the Commercial Planning team. The role is responsible for the development and execution of processes and systems that are used to effectively manage inventory performance & buys. This position will lead a team that will be accountable for the successful execution of planning and forecasting of inventory across all our channels of business. They will be responsible for the inventory planning cycle from procurement to exhaust and own the product buy calendar that enables the timely placement of production orders. They will analyze inventory flow and turn for all products to enable accurate and timely buys across the portfolio. They will manage the retail allocation team who are responsible for managing the retail fleet’s in stock positions and maximizing inventory allocations.

When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do

• Develop and manage a scalable inventory management and buy process across the product portfolio
• Analyze sku performance to target the correct inventory levels we should be holding to maximize sales and profitability
• Implement an inventory planning calendar that incorporates the necessary buy timing across all categories factoring in lead times
• Implement and manage a regular buy review process that incorporates the necessary reporting and KPI’s for leadership sign off
• Work collaboratively with Merchandising, Planning & Operations partners to ensure the successful execution of inventory strategy and ownership  
• Partner with Business Planning to ensure timely channel forecasts can be incorporated into the inventory buy cycle
• Manage the end of life strategy for product that is being retired incorporating merchandising, channel & financial kpi’s
• Develop and manage a team of inventory planners that will work cross functionally 
• Monitor and manage the allocation team to ensure inventory is maximized to drive sales & profitability goals

Our dream candidate is...

• 4 year university degree ideally in Business, Supply Chain, and/or Finance.
• 7+ years of experience in inventory management and planning
• Experience in developing, implementing, and managing inventory planning processes
• Management experience with demonstrated ability to develop and grow teams
• Strong understanding of retail math with the ability to use business results and metrics to drive action plans that benefit growth and mitigate risks
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Ability to develop strong collaborative relationships with key partners
