Senior Manager, Office/Facilities
OVERVIEW
VICE Media is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to lead all NY facility and office operations. Role will involve managing day-to-day operations as well as proactive planning measures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our offices - budgeting, preventative maintenance and process improvements. Senior Facilities Manager’s scope is over both VICE NY offices (Williamsburg and Dumbo), as well as studio spaces and offsite storage. The right candidate must be highly organized, a self-starter, effectively manage stressful situations and prioritize accordingly, have proven leadership skills, and be willing to pitch in whenever and wherever necessary.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years prior experience at management level of corporate facilities operations and functions
- Passionate, motivated, confident and enthusiastic
- Proactive and solution-oriented
- Highly organized and resourceful
- Balance, adapt to and prioritize many tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong follow-up skills, work well under pressure
- Have strong sense of accountability, discretion, and integrity
- Take initiative, think strategically, develop and manage projects
- Work collaboratively and professionally as a team member
- Interact and communicate professionally and effectively at every level – with executives, senior management, all employees, as well as outside vendors and contractors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expert in Google Suite (gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT), very comfortable with Apple products, experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs, on call as NY Facilities emergency contact
- Dependable attendance & punctuality
