Casper is looking for a Senior Manager, Retail Operations to implement and scale operating practices to the retail fleet with efficiency and predictability. They will lead the creation and implementation of Retail operating standards by fostering strong partnerships, providing clear communication, and driving accountability.  They will instill an operational component with Casper cross-functional partners so all store facing initiatives run smoothly.   As a key stakeholder on the Retail team, they will collaborate throughout the Casper organization to help scale tools and resources to our store teams.  

This role will report to the VP of Retail.

When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of all store operating procedures and influencing field leadership to ensure consistent implementation 
• Lead the Retail Operations team in optimizing cross-functional workflows that equip our stores to execute daily operations effectively and efficiently
• Oversee store projects and field leadership events from start to finish, including new store openings
• Develop, lead, and own the facilities strategy for a 70+ store fleet, including ongoing maintenance, repairs, store renovations and refreshes
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling to ensure that required payroll is adequately budgeted and allocated
• Oversee Retail reporting to ensure metrics and performance is visible and understood by the Retail team
• Build influential relationships with leadership across other Casper departments, including Technology, Finance, and Supply Chain / Operations
• Develop and support delivery of concise and actionable operational standards to retail partners 
• Effectively meet goals and milestones while being able to adjust and refocus within project timelines
• Analyze and support daily retail operational functions throughout the fleet such as merchandise inventory control
• Own ongoing procurement for open stores and define relevant budgets

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience
• 5+ years of management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter expert lead for Retail Operations
• Corporate retail operations experience required
• Proven ability to lead and execute complex programs or projects from start to finish 
• Proven people leader with a passion to develop others
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build partnerships and have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to communicate down, across and up within the organization
• Organized and detail oriented
• Creative thinker
• Ability to travel as needed
• Ability to listen and communicate with internal teams and outside vendors and contractors
• Flexibility to shift focus and priorities
• Experience in the Retail Operations areas below: Stockroom organization and workflow; Merchandise inventory control; Employee experiences; Store payroll and scheduling; Mobile solutions; Store technology and uses; Loss prevention; Store policies/procedures; Multi-channel distribution; Vendor management; NSOs; store supplies & fixtures
