A Better Opportunity:
We are seeking a Senior Manager of Title Operations to join Better’s fastest growing new business line, Better Settlement Services. The Senior Manager will be instrumental in the development of Better’s expanding title insurance agency division. The Senior Manager will be responsible for managing title operational processes, ensuring strong adherence to regulatory and legal guidelines, and helping us innovate and evolve the state of title insurance within our “eAgency” marketplace. The ideal candidate is customer obsessed, has a strong industry experience, and is looking for a new challenge to make title insurance “Better”.
Responsibilities Include:
- Strongly lead, expand, and oversee the Better Settlement Services Services' national title operations team in both the US and India
- Aptitude with operational data, understanding KPIs we need and how to use it to proactively identifying and resolving issues
- Reviewing our our policies and procedures with an eye to critique, overhaul and streamline our workflows
- Overhaul and build out new and robust training programs to optimize for team effectiveness
- Partner with Better’s ‘internal consultants’ to implement out of the box innovative processes that expedite the title clearance process
- Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives
- Lead by example and empower your operational leaders to drive a high performing, efficient team
- Tenured leader with proven success building a strong culture and empowering team leaders autonomously drive results
About You:
- 4+ years of experience
- A licensed title agent with strong curative / title underwriting experience
- A strong people leader that with a proven track record of scaling high performing operational teams
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to listen, understand, analyze, and develop creative solutions
- Highly collaborative and team-oriented approach to solving problems
- This role is designated as ‘Remote Mode,’ and employees are not expected to report into a Better office at any time. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is not required unless fully remote employees attend an onsite, in-person meeting, office event, or otherwise interface with Better employees and/or customers in person.
