Health Informatics @ MSK

The Division of Health Informatics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center manages clinician and patient-facing health information technology, including the institutional electronic health record, ancillary clinical systems, and tools that enable decision support, health information exchange, knowledge management, patient engagement and health consumer service. Beyond working with the technology itself, we aim to understand the people who use it and the processes affected by its implementation. We empower our clinicians and patients with tools that support the best outcomes, and we support our researchers in their efforts to forge new territory in precision oncology. We evaluate our interventions to prove that the work we are doing is impactful, and we weigh costs and benefits to measure value and prioritize future initiatives.

 

Role Overview:

MSK has developed and implemented numerous patient-facing Informatics solutions. Significant growth in these areas is anticipated in the coming years including expansions of existing systems, as well as deployments of new solutions.

MSK is seeking a Sr. Systems Analyst to join our dynamic Health Informatics team. In this role, the Sr. Systems Analyst is responsible for implementation, development and ongoing operation of our Service Platform technologies, including Salesforce Health Cloud CRM and omnichannel communication solutions.

 

You Will:

  • Interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs.
  • Gather, document and analyze business needs and requirements.
  • Solve business problems and, as needed, design business solutions.
  • Support the Service Platform applications, ongoing maintenance, upgrades, enhancements, interfaces and integration with existing and new systems, including supporting go-live activities in clinical and business settings.
  • Create and maintain documentation for workflow, operating procedures, quality control and system administration;
  • Monitor all activities associated with the daily operation and data reporting of the Service Platform technologies to ensure data integrity, consistency and accuracy;
  • Develop training materials to support Service platform technologies and business processes; execute training plans to support new platform implementations and extension of new platform features.

You Are:

  • An effective communicator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passionate about exploring creative solutions to solve problems and address issues using the delivered and custom-developed tools.
  • Experienced in clinical systems implementations and support including system configuration, maintenance and software upgrades.
  • Ability to run multiple projects, handle confidential information, make independent decisions and use good judgment.
  • Motivated by the idea of improving the lives of patients with cancer and supporting the work for those who provide their care

You have:

  • 2+ yrs in Healthcare or Information Systems equivalent experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Agile, SAFE and/or Lean business process preferred
  • Salesforce CRM software strongly preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Experience in lieu of a degree is considered.

Location:  NYC - Midtown East near Grand Central
