We are building the operating system for Real Estate! As a Solutions Architect at Compass, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership for cloud enterprise systems that support our brokerage operations and lead-to-cash processes across multiple business functions. Our cloud systems include CRM, Marketing Automation, Contract Management, Transaction Management, Billing, Commissions, and ERP, and PaaS infrastructure and Data Warehouse / BI systems. This is a unique opportunity to design and implement a broad set of technologies and processes in a high growth environment.

You’ll work as part of a rapidly growing team in a fast-paced environment, managing large-scale business systems initiatives that impact multiple functions and teams across the organization. You’ll lead a team of Compass engineers and external consultants and work with stakeholders from Finance and Accounting, Agent Operations, Agent Recruiting, Sales Management, Legal, Marketing, and R&D. You should be comfortable working with many different business, product and engineering teams, and have the ability to breakdown and solve complex problems. You have demonstrated your ability to act as a change agent in a rapid growth environment, and are comfortable communicating and building consensus with audiences at all levels, from executives to individual contributors.

In this role you will be required to have previous experience in Salesforce and integrations with a billing and commission system (not point to point interfaces). You will also need prior experience with an integrated cloud based solution (like Mulesoft, Jitterbit, or Informatica) and have established experience working cross functionally on CRM and ERP.

At Compass You Will:

• Provide thought and technical leadership for our cloud enterprise systems architecture, and ensure alignment with company-wide strategy
• Participate in vendor evaluations and contract negotiations to select business system solutions, and advise executive leadership on cost versus benefit and potential risks
• Lead cloud systems architecture sessions with Product, Engineering and consulting teams, continuously evaluating benefits, risks and tradeoffs in pursuing different solutions
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for current and future business systems needs
• Acquire a deep understanding of our business systems product vision and have the ability to clearly articulate these to executive leaders and our business and technology teams
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and IT teams, as well as external consultants to design, build and deploy solutions for our agents and staff, that scales with our rapid growth
• Act as a change agent for technologies and supporting processes by leveraging best practices to maximize results measured by system performance and availability, business agility, technology capabilities, operational efficiency and scalability

What We Look For:

• 10+ years experience in designing, architecting, and deploying enterprise business systems and related infrastructure
• 3+ years experience leading engineering and/or business systems teams
• Experience working with Salesforce
• Experience working with one or more of the following: NetSuite, CLM, ERP, PaaS, AWS, Data Warehousing, and Tableau
• Familiar with cloud security best practices including Identity Access Management, Security Groups, and Data Encryption
• Experience with IT compliance and controls (eg. PCI DSS, SOX, SSAE 16) , risk management and disaster recovery requirements
• Proficient in SQL
• Experience with designing and maintaining high availability systems
• A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical area is required; MS degree preferred
