The Role

Based in Galileo’s New York headquarters, the Healthcare Compliance & Security Specialist will assist on all operations related to the development, implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of Galileo’s policies and procedures regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance throughout the organization. Under general supervision, the Healthcare Compliance and Security Specialist supports the operations of the Legal/Corporate Compliance and Security Compliance teams which includes special projects, assessments and assisting with daily operations.

What you will do

  • Ensure alignment on compliance standards and protocols of cross-functional teams through regular, effective collaboration (e.g. User Success, Product & Design, Security & IT, External Affairs)
  • Foster a quality culture focused on meeting high quality, ethical and compliance standards
  • Implement/refine a user-friendly, efficient process for managing internal legal needs and requests

We'd love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • 4+ years’ experience in healthcare compliance or quality setting
  • Knowledge of compliance and privacy standards, including HIPAA, data privacy, or data security processes, as well as the TCPA and acceptable forms and means of communications governed by it 
  • Highly effective written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent judgment and a principled, practical, collaborative and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to multitask, work under tight time pressures, prioritize work, and react quickly to changing business needs and demands all in a fast-paced, high-growth business environment
  • High level of integrity and trust, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work effectively with others at all levels across the organization
  • Familiarity or ability to become familiar with state-specific laws and regulations around telemedicine and tele-health
