Job Description

Do you want to be a key contributor on a team that is recognized for devising solutions to complex technical challenges affecting the organization? If the answer is yes, then the Enterprise Projects team in Information Systems sounds like the right fit for you.

 

We are seeking a Senior Application Analyst to join our dynamic team. We manage an extensive portfolio of systems utilized across the organization. As a member, you will participate in the implementation of innovative technologies along with the improvement of existing solutions. Specifically, the successful candidate will play a key role in providing technical support of the Epic system and will be tasked with building solutions to system integration/interface issues.

 

You Will!

  • Be responsible for understanding the business needs and identify how technology can meet those needs through the planning, design, and implementation of efficient processes
  • Act as the liaison between business users, technical teams, external vendors to manage requests and provide technical guidance
  • Design technical specifications for vendor applications (Epic), that may include data flow, data storage, interface/integration design, and system architecture on assigned projects
  • Participate in, and lead, project meetings, and build/maintain detailed implementation plans
  • Track the progress of tasks and issues and actively communicate status and resolution efforts with project partners.
  • Develop and maintain detailed support documentation for assigned applications/projects.
  • Enthusiastically identify areas for improvement and introduce recommendations, factoring in customer needs and industry standard methodologies

You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Information Systems or equivalent experience os required; Master’s Degree is strongly encouraged
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a complex, multi-departmental healthcare environment
  • Experience working with EHR systems; certification in Epic OpTime or other Epic modules is a plus
  • Proven experience working on the applications side of HL7 interfaces and understanding it 
  • Certification in Epic Bridges is a plus
  • Proficient in using MS Project or similar management tools
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks
  • Off-hours support required
