WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
If you're someone who enjoys uncovering and developing innovative, best-in-class analytics for the biggest brands in media and translating numbers into narratives, this is the place for you!
The Manager of Analytic Consulting will be responsible for leading a team of data analysts within the Data Innovation team at Ampersand. This team works hand in hand with Sales, Business Development, and our clients as a trusted resource. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of data analytics and be able to communicate complex insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role will work closely with brand marketing teams and agencies to understand their business needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop actionable insights that drive better ROI for their investments with Ampersand, and across all of TV and video.
HOW YOU'LL BE CONTRIBUTING:

  • Lead a team of data analysts to determine strategic investments and relevant success metrics
  • Collaborate with clients and agencies to understand their business needs and develop insights that drive better ROI for their TV investments; manage analysis follow-ups over the course of lengthy client partnerships
  • Manage the execution and client delivery of analytic projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, on budget, and meet or exceed client expectations
  • Build simplified data narratives using complex data files; ensures client readouts are in alignment with brand's measurement goals and/or learning agenda
  • Act as a subject matter expert on media analytics staying up-to-date on the latest developments in media and advertising technology, and incorporate new insights into our offerings
  • Weave together multiple KPIs and research initiatives into one overarching, concise story; create executive summaries in support of periodic client business reviews that are easily interpretable
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and help develop and implement best practices for analytics consulting services
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 5 years in a data and/or media-related company
  • Experience managing a direct report(s)
  • Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint; working familiarity minimum with business visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into digestible stories
  • Proven ability to manage projects, including scoping, budgeting, and delivery
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team to achieve goals and objectives
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities
  • Comfortable working independently and accurately without hands-on oversight
  • Comfort with working on-site with brand marketing teams
  • Experience with multiple research methodologies, as well as comfort with working with both 1st and 3rd party data sets


NICE TO HAVES:

  • Hands-on comfort with data manipulation (including SQL, advanced Excel, python, r, etc.)
  • Experience in Advanced TV (including Addressable TV, Data-Driven Linear TV, OTT/CTV, etc.) is preferred

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Ampersand salary range for this position in New York Metro Area. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, experience and performance
The range listed is just one component of Ampersand's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include discretionary annual bonuses and / or overtime, commission, etc., as well as competitive benefits including PTO, medical & dental & vision benefits, 401K with employer match, short & long-term disability, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement, pre-tax commuter benefits & flexible spending accounts.
Salary Range Transparency
This role has a NYC Metro Area base salary of $110,000-130,000 and discretionary annual bonus.
