The Senior Manager of IT Architecture will have a hands-on role, leading the strategic direction and build-out of Collibra’s SaaS systems architecture and integration strategy to maximize productivity, scale operations, and put business intelligence into the hands of Collibrians to make improved decisions.  He or she will be responsible for the health and effectiveness of IT’s architecture strategy,  lifecycle, and governance across Collibra’s business applications, platforms, and data tools.  This role will serve as the expert for enterprise architecture tools, best practices, and standards and play a critical role in modernizing Collibra’s technology portfolio to drive a seamless digital experience for our customers and employees.

The Senior Manager of IT Architecture will identify and prioritize investments, build and guide a growing team, manage resource and backlog planning, and oversee delivery of integration and architecture projects that align with the business’ goals for growth and scalability.

The Sr. Manager of Architecture at Collibra will be responsible to:

  • Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to assess Collibra’s current workflow, data, and systems architecture landscape and develop a future Enterprise Architecture strategy and plan to improve automation and scale.
  • Manage an Integration/Architecture Roadmap and project backlog in partnership with the IT PMO, prioritize initiatives in line with business goals, and drive design and deployment of integration solutions that enable scalability, high availability, and re-use.
  • Collaborate with business leadership, stakeholders, and 3rd-party partners to assess complex business problems or opportunities, solicit and define requirements, and design solutions that result in optimal business outcomes.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide a growing team of technical architects, integration engineers, et al who are responsible for the creation, implementation, and maintenance of architectural strategies. Partner with InfoSec to develop architectural and security policies and best practices to ensure application reliability and compliance.
  • Partner with the Data Office to champion and ensure the distributed departments’ reporting/analytics teams leverage Collibra DG, data lake, and ETL data governance policies and best practices.  
  • Manage IT resources to provide access and support to departments’ reporting/analytics teams for Collibra report visualization tools (e.g., Tableau). Be a primary subject matter expert in the organization for architectural alignment, provision of guidance and technical oversight to stakeholders and direct reports.

You Have:

  • 12-15 years as a hands-on enterprise application architect with portfolio and project management experience implementing architecture integration roadmaps through all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • 5+ years of experience with people management.
  • Experience managing PaaS integration infrastructure and environment. Current application stack includes Workato, Celigo, Fivetran etc.  
  • Experience with cloud-based, Saas business applications such as Salesforce CRM and CPQ, Netsuite, FinancialForce, Workday HCM, Gainsight, Zendesk, Tableau, Marketo. Experience building integrations with REST and SOAP API, JMS, file, SFTP, DB, Email. 
  • Track record of effective recruiting, management, and development of high performing multidisciplinary teams. Strong business awareness, a sound understanding of key business processes (e.g., order to cash, purchase to pay) and the way they impact business performance.
  • Ability to create and maintain architectural models and technical design documentation, which includes current and future state process flows, applications/database objects, specifications that detail proposed database and/or data integration implementations.
  • Experience architecting data platforms, data operating models, data collection, dataflow management, master data management, data quality, and security. Experience designing and developing scalable data pipelines, automated workflows/hand-offs, and API integrations.

  • Comfortable facilitating structured meetings, problem solving, presenting options, driving decisions, and promoting change.  

Reporting to Collibra’s Director of Enterprise Application, measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you’ll meet business stakeholders across the organization to assess and create Architecture Diagrams and documentation of source systems, data flows, roles, and processes at Collibra.  You’ll also align with Collibra’s Data Office to assess how we can “drink our own champagne” and leverage Collibra DG data intelligence software for Collibra’s internal use.
  • Within your third month, you’ll partner with Collibra’s business stakeholders on priorities and define an Architecture project roadmap for integrations and workflow automations.
  • Within your sixth month, you will have begun working through the backlog to implement integration solutions and creating a jointly-owned business intelligence data reporting program structure to run and support on-going operations of Collibra’s corporate systems integration and reporting needs.
