About the Role
Reporting to Kustomer’s IT Manager, the Systems Administrator at Kustomer is responsible for owning all areas relating to IT/AV/Network Support, and account administration.
You will:
- Provide top notch customer service and technical support to Kustomer employees based on hardware and software needs.
- Partner with various teams across the business to facilitate projects (People, Dev, Security, etc.)
- Assist in managing our SaaS stack (G-Suite, Okta, Slack, Zoom, Torii, etc)
- Assist in managing and automating various tasks in Kustomer systems (MacOS, JAMF Pro, etc.)
- Partner with the People team to help onboard our high volume of new hires in 2021 and beyond; ensure IT onboarding is easy and quick for all new hires.
- Assist in maintaining current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources.
- Assist with documenting, automating and implementing technology processes, approvals, and procedures within Kustomer.
- Work with the Security team to enforce employee laptop policies and security procedures and to improve existing policies.
- Partner with IT Manager and CTO to update and modify current IT infrastructure to address scalability, repeatability, and security.
- Work with Vendors to evaluate, procure, implement and support various Saas solutions.
- Assist in preparing and shipping computers for onboarding, offboarding and repairs.
Your qualities:
- 2+ years of experience as an IT System Administrator, preferably at a startup or technology company
- 2+ years of experience supporting G-Suite, Okta and Jamf
- Customer experience mindset: excited to dig into any issue, big or small, provide empathy and action to support your internal customers. You are your customer’s biggest advocate.
- Experience supporting SaaS applications and maintaining strong inventory of licensing and access.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in automation of Jamf policies and Okta Provisioning.
- Must be proficient in computer hardware and software systems, network systems, and computer anti-virus & security programs.
- Networking experience with a basic understanding of routers, VLANs, NAT, and VPN
- Strong communication and documentation skills (you love creating process docs)
- Mature and responsible with confidential information, as that is a natural part of this role.
- Nice to have: Some Cybersecurity Experience including Network Firewalls, Firewall configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting, and cybersecurity implementation
- Must be comfortable with receiving shipments of laptops to onboard, offboard or repair and be able to send back out via FedEx
- May involve going into an office to assist with tech/facilities cleanup and/or office move (note that health and safety is Kustomer’s number one priority and we will follow and expect all employees to follow any government or state guidelines around COVID-19. Currently the Kustomer NYC HQ is closed and no employees are present in our office)
