Technical Support Engineer: Returnship Program
Cedar is proud to partner with the Path Forward Return to Work Program. This program is a 16 week paid “returnship” for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. The program is open to women and men who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or other dependent. The Role
Cedar is solving a problem that affects millions of patients annually. Our technology helps patients understand and pay their bills more easily.
We're seeking a Technical Support Engineer to help research, troubleshoot, and build solutions to issues that arise with our clients (healthcare providers). This person will work on the front lines, diving into data, researching potential problems, and coding robust solutions.
The Technical Support Engineer role is great for individuals with aspirations of becoming a software engineer, client strategist, or product manager.
Responsibilities
- Respond to and debug technical issues that arise from our integrations with clients.
- Analyze data from our clients and troubleshoot issues with missing or misinterpreted data.
- Work with Cedar business development, software engineers and PMs to discover and fix technical issues in our product.
- Help ensure technical issues are resolved quickly with quality solutions.
- Help ensure our integrations with clients operate smoothly.
Required Skills & Experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to read and write code at an introductory level (Python preferred)
- Experience working with a database and SQL
- Based in the New York City area
- Passion for helping patients
- Positive, can-do attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a technical support or analyst position
- Experience with or interest in client-facing responsibilities
- Experience with Django and/or Bash
