Collibra is looking for a Technical Trainer to join our Education team that is part of our Professional Services department. The mission of the Education team is to provide foundational knowledge of data intelligence and share best practices in its implementation through instructor-led bootcamps, on-demand courses and virtual labs. As a Technical Trainer you will instruct a breadth of technical courses that cover foundational and advanced concepts to enable customers and partners in the implementation and usage of the Collibra platform. Reporting directly to the Training Manager, the ideal candidate will employ delivery best practices using a variety of presentation formats including engaging lectures, live demonstration, and technical labs. They combine a passion for teaching and learning with an enthusiasm for data. These strengths will be used to drive learning and foster positive customer relationships.

Technical Trainers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Delivering instructor-led training to educate customers on our products internationally, both virtually and in-person
  • Acquiring product and field knowledge continually in order to facilitate best practices in all trainings
  • Becoming an expert in training course content
  • Developing facilitation skills by enhancing your knowledge of products, materials, and programs
  • Testing new and updated ways to facilitate the delivery of your content to meet the needs of the learners
  • Collaborating with fellow team members and other internal departments to ensure accurate, effective training content

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience delivering technical training to both business and IT audiences
  • Ability to speak multiple languages (English, French, German, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SaaS technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Tableau, PowerBI, and/or Looker
  • Coding experience with Groovy/JavaScript, BPMN, and REST APIs

  • Empowered to utilize the resources necessary to obtain knowledge at an accelerated pace from both formal and informal learning sources
  • Familiar with engaging learners from all different backgrounds and skill sets  
  • A strong verbal and written communicator
  • Experienced in facilitating and adapting the level of content complexity based on the backgrounds of your training audience
  • Dedicated to a culture of continuous improvement, regularly seeking feedback

Reporting to Collibra's Technical Training Manager, measures of success are:

  • Within your first month you will learn the Getting Started, Catalog, and Workflow Engineering courses
  • Within your third month you will lead the Getting Started and Workflow Engineering courses and learn the API and Data Lineage courses 
  • Within your sixth month you will lead the Catalog and API courses and learn the Data Privacy and Operating Model courses
