As the office IT Support Engineer you will have various responsibilities including:

  • Keeping our offices talking to each other by delivering and running high quality remote AV capability.
  • Experience of office networks including Wireless and VPN links to our servers.
  • Participate in Software License Management and hardware procurement.
  • Internal desktop/server/device management and support of desktop across the other company offices when required.
  • Ensure that Company desktop, laptop and mobile device security policies are implemented and adhered too.
  • Work closely with and coordinate vendor relationships required to deliver company IT requirements

Essentials skills:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, friendly, approachable, outgoing attitude, willing to help and be involved in the support and training of staff in the use of IT and AV.
  • Previous experience of working without supervision and as part of a team.
  • A good understanding of the challenges faced when working in an Audio-Visual heavy environment including the operation of AV systems.
  • A track record in supporting users running OSX and Windows operating systems, including remote support.
  • Good knowledge of Networking including VPN and Wireless with the ability to guide 3rd party vendors on setup and maintain the hardware as required.
  • Must be able to travel freely between the UK and US.

Bonus Points for:

  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook/Office 365 in a corporate environment
  • Experience of Software License Management
  • Able to explain problems and solutions clearly to non-technical users.

As an IT Support Engineer, you would work on site or remotely by phone, email or using web-based applications. Your job would normally include:

  • Talking to clients to get details of faults
  • Working out the reasons for a fault and explaining these to the client
  • Fixing equipment, including printers and scanners (known as peripherals)
  • Setting up new equipment and upgrading existing systems
  • Testing and servicing equipment
  • Recording problems and their solutions for future reference
  • Training staff on new systems or software applications.
