The Vice President of Health Plan Operations will report to the Chief Operating Officer and be directly responsible for the strategy, growth and operational oversight of the Health Plan Operations Team. Health Plan Operations at Spring Health consists of Payer Solutions, Member Benefits & Billing. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in healthcare working in partnership with or within health systems and experience in high-growth startup environments. We are seeking an entrepreneurial operator and leader with a deep passion for improving access to high-quality mental healthcare delivered in a compassionate and precise manner. This is a highly cross-functional and strategic role that will require a high degree of autonomy, collaboration and accountability.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead, manage and efficiently grow the Health Plan Operations Team (Payer Solutions, Member Benefits & Billing) with a member-first and metrics-driven approach
- Set and deliver on Health Plan Operations strategy quarter over quarter in support of company objectives
- Work cross-functionally and strategically with Finance, Business Development, Business Operations, Care Operations, Client Success, Product, Data Science, Medical Affairs and the Executive Team to achieve shared success and impact
- Relentlessly optimize Health Plan Operations in service of member experience, best-in-class revenue cycle management and key business objectives
- Continue to build Health Plan Operations into a strategic asset in collaboration with our Payer Strategy Team
What we expect from you:
- You have 10+ years of experience in operations, healthcare administration and strategy with a proven ability to oversee successful revenue cycle management at or above $10M annually
- You have 5+ years of cross-functional leadership and management experience at the VP level in a high-growth startup and/or healthcare systems
- You have direct healthcare experience working with payers, providers, and health systems
- You embody a member>team>individual perspective
- You are consistently a top performer, yet a collaborative and cross-functional leader who thrives in a culture of collaboration, accountability, and entrepreneurship
- You are a self starter who thrives when given autonomy, with proven ability and desire to build effective internal and external relationships
