The VP of Care Navigation will be directly responsible for the leadership, strategy, continued growth and success of the Care Navigation Team. This will entail successfully operationalizing our clinical care navigation, EAP offerings, along with strategically scaling Care Navigation to support expanded clinical offerings. We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader with a deep passion for improving access to high-quality mental healthcare delivered in a compassionate and precise manner. This is a highly cross-functional and strategic role that will require a high degree of autonomy, collaboration, comfort with ambiguity and ability to work in partnership with clinical experts.
What you'll be doing:
- Be responsible for the operationalization and management of our clinical care navigation offering with a member-first approach
- Be responsible for the clinical team achieving key quality metrics (user-reported and internal process-related) and SLA’s
- Adhere to evidence-based, best practices in designing scalable Care Navigation protocol and processes
- Identify and manage high-value partnership opportunities along the clinical continuum (e.g. acute and post-acute care, specialty services, primary care)
- Guide the strategic direction of care navigation in collaboration with Product and Medical Affairs
- Be responsible for clinical programs including (but not limited to):
- designing and building 24/7 clinical crisis center
- designing an efficient referral processes to behavioral health providers external to Spring’s proprietary network
- defining proper case management workflows including longitudinal care management with new specialty programs
- defining appropriate clinical standards and quality
- Contribute to defining future product development needs to support care navigation/management workflows
- Invest in and support the growth and development of the Clinical Leadership team
- Create the short and long-term Clinical Care Navigation roadmap, success metrics, staffing model, and project plans
- Work cross-functionally and strategically with Business Development, Care Operations, Customer Success, Product, Data Science, Medical Affairs, Provider Operations, and the Executive Team to achieve shared success and impact
- Roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to meet targets in a fast-paced environment
What we expect from you:
- 15+ years of clinical experience, preference for experience with care management and mental healthcare
- 8+ years of team ownership and management experience, including experience managing a clinical teams
- 6+ years as a functioning VP
- Unrestricted LCSW, LPC, LMHC, LMFT or equivalent, licensure in at least 1 state
- Proven track record of team and leadership development
- Strong executive presence and ability to represent Care Navigation well to C-suite stakeholders
- Team-oriented rather than me-oriented
