Yieldstreet is looking for a thoughtful, smart, and driven individual to be our first VP of Corporate Development. You will be responsible for developing our M&A and corporate development strategy. In this highly visible role you will work cross-functionally with the founders, leadership, investments and finance teams to execute on your mandate. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Fintech, wealthtech and investing landscapes. They should have a strong M&A banking or consulting background. The candidate will have strong technical and interpersonal skills, and the desire to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders. This person will report directly to the CEO.

What you'll do:

  • Establish Yieldstreet’s company-wide strategy for external partnerships and M&A
  • Collaborate with our management product, marketing, strategy and finance teams to prioritize partnership and acquisition opportunities
  • Lead the process of identifying, sourcing, due diligence, deal negotiations and integration for all corporate strategic initiatives
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and industry offerings and provide thoughtful and insightful findings to our teams
  • Ability to evaluate various companies & Create business cases and partner with the Finance team to prepare valuation models for partnerships or M&A activity
  • Build strong relationships with engineering, product, finance, legal and other teams and provide support to all elements of work as it relates to diligence work and integration
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of prospective partners across multiple areas of interest
  • Measure and report on effectiveness of partnerships and M&A post transaction
  • This is a very visible IC role with a cross functional team to support them

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience from Investment Bank or Consulting firm Experience executing successful strategic partnerships -- and M&A -- from ideation to completion
  • Deep understanding of Fintech, wealthtech and investing landscapes
  • Experience at Bulge Bracket banks or management consulting experience needed 
  • BS from top tier universities, MBA preferred

  • Experience with consumer brands

My favorite part of Yieldstreet is our camaraderie. It’s refreshing to be part of a team that likes spending time together vs bolting for the door as soon as the clock strikes 5. We do group workouts, host guest speakers, do team outings, and go for dinners at popular spots like Vandal, Lavo and Nobu.

We not only share documentation about features and strategy, but also about the best spots to grab a bite, a drink, or to catch a show! My career has grown tremendously in the year and a half at Yieldstreet. I started as the only Product Manager on the team, and as we've scaled, I have had the opportunity to grow the product team to six people. I was recently promoted to Director and now have a wide-ranging set of responsibilities and the capability to impact company strategy.
