Resident is seeking a VP of Operations to manage and grow our Supply Chain Team. In this role, you will have a team of 3 direct reports that own Sourcing, Logistics, Planning and Order Management. The ideal candidate will be a cross-functional leader who can effectively drive operational efficiency with the goal of delivering a world class customer experience throughout the post purchase journey.
**This is a Remote, Work From Home position with the ability to travel (domestic and international) up to 25% when necessary. Candidates must be authorized to work and reside in the United States.**
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning – collaborate with senior leadership to align on product line and geographic expansion as well as game changing service delivery innovations
- Customer Experience – ensure Operational drivers of key customer experience metrics are managed tightly - including shipping SLAs, NPS, and Cancellations
- Procurement – own relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent production volume and quality
- Supply Chain Optimization – Own and drive net annual improvements in Cost working closely with the Product Design Teams and Leveraging the End to End Supply Chain organization. Own and drive Cash Conversion Cycle for the Business
- Inventory Management – manage the team responsible for daily oversight of items fulfillment, returns management, costing accuracy, inventory management, accuracy of inventory receipts, and integration management
- International Freight – manage inventory transportation from factories in multiple countries to warehouses in the U.S. and Canada
- Warehousing and Fulfillment – establish and own relationships with 3PL partners, and oversee daily warehousing and fulfillment operations
- Last Mile Distribution – establish and own relationships with small parcel carriers and last-mile delivery partners
Requirements
- 10+ years of Supply Chain operations experience, including 5+ years in a Director Level role in purchasing, inventory, and logistics, or a related field – experience with a direct-to-consumer physical products company is a must
- Demonstrated ability to scale operations at a consumer physical products company
- Demonstrated Understanding of End to End Supply Chain Management
- Experience in inventory management modeling, forecasting, reporting and automation
- Proficient in G-Suite, Slack, Looker and more
- Experience in startups and scaled/mature businesses alike - know what it takes to build lightweight process to balance control and agility
- Proven track record in building, managing and leading teams
- Willing to travel, both international and domestic (up to 25% annually)
