About the role
Yieldstreet is looking for a seasoned people-centric leader with proven ability to innovate, execute, and build a scalable talent strategy for our high-growth organization.
As the VP of People & Culture you will design and execute on strategic talent structures and organizational roadmaps that will ensure success at scale. You will use data to drive Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and People Operations initiatives to evolve, enhance, and enrich our culture. You’ll be challenged to build Yieldstreet’s talent strategy for growth, while rethinking and innovating the classic approaches to HR. This role reports directly to the CEO and is a key advisor on organizational strategies. The ideal candidate is someone who is excited about testing and incubating new ideas and who can successfully bring them to life.
While we're largely remote for the moment, we're looking for a candidate that is comfortable with a hybrid-office role (expected to be in office 2-3 days a week post COVID) in our beautiful / large New York City HQ.
What you’ll do:
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and the rest of the executive team to develop, communicate, and execute a holistic people strategy.
- Create and implement people metrics and use this data to drive changes in our people strategy.
- Develop a world-class culture consistent with Yieldstreet’s vision & values that attracts, retains and develops top talent
- Lead talent planning initiatives and activities across the organization.
- Design and implement learning and development programs to engage, motivate, and improve our people, to unlock their potential, and help them grow in their careers.
- Build and develop competitive, parity driven compensation strategy across multiple disciplines.
- Lead our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies, partnering across functions and levels, to help attract and retain underrepresented talent. It is our goal to make Yieldstreet a place where everyone can "bring their whole selves to work" and be confident that they can grow and thrive here
- Embody and uphold our values, and ensure that they influence all key decisions and initiatives.
- Manage, develop and engage a team of HR professionals.
- Oversee HR compliance, audits, and governance.
What you’ll need:
- 10+ years of progressive people experience including 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to scale programs and practices— ideally, you've helped a company grow from 50 to 200+ people.
- Acumen and executive presence to become a true business partner across the company.
- Ability to challenge the team/organization while holding them accountable for their commitments.
- Extensive experience managing recruitment teams, including building out compensation plans for high performance and building out metrics.
- A bias towards action and challenging the HR status quo. You don’t get bogged down by process. An ability to harness positivity to empower the team to achieve greatness \.
- An approachable demeanor that inspires trust and confidence from leaders and individual contributors.
- Understanding of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations.
