Warehousing & Distribution Performance Manager
Peloton is seeking motivated leaders to design and implement performance measurement frameworks with the goal to improve performance across Warehousing and Distribution operations. You will play a critical role as we expand the footprint of our next-gen systems and create a global standard for processes and measures that take advantage of the capabilities within these platforms. Operating as part of a team of subject matter experts, you will be a key driver in delivering performance visibility and structured data analysis as inputs for decision making - focused on reducing cost, eliminating waste, and delivering value to our customers. The perfect candidate for this role thrives in ambiguous, fast paced environments and strongly prefers using data and data driven analysis to solve hard problems. Working closely with the process team and warehouse associates, internal and external IT, and other cross-functional stakeholders you will mature the Peloton Supply Chain to ensure it continues to provide value to our customer base.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own the creation and deployment of Warehousing and Distribution performance management processes
- Work closely with business users to determine relevant performance metrics and effective communication methods
- Monitor performance of Peloton Warehousing & Distribution network and take appropriate action when performances are outside of expectations
- Facilitate performance reviews with Warehousing & Distribution Teams, identify thresholds for performance indicators as well as opportunities for improvements
- Define performance metrics that enable early warning detection for process non-compliance or performance degradation
- Generate business requirements documentation for performance management tools and ensure requirements are delivered in full
- Build training documentation and facilitate user acceptance testing
- Work with operations management to ensure performance is measured accurately and are relevant, driving continuous improvement of performance for operations
- Support the implementation of warehouse management and transportation management systems within Peloton distribution centers
- Participate in on-site implementation to ensure complete delivery of the business requirements
Provide Sustaining Support for Warehousing & Distribution Platforms
- Monitor, Troubleshoot, and Validate performance trends, data sources and processes by deep diving root cause and escalating to IT partners and/or external vendor where applicable
- Evaluate impact of new deployments on existing performance management processes and perfect the process to roll-out functionality to new warehouse sites
- Train and mentor teams in the Field and HQ on solutions and best practices in support of process implementation and continuous improvement
Drive On-going Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and evaluate solution effectiveness through creation and on-going analysis of key performance KPIs related to warehousing and distribution
- Continuously ensure performance management metrics are relevant and are driving the right discussions and activities
- Drive process and productivity improvements into existing operations based on analysis of processes versus system capabilities and anticipated gains. Define return on investment and gain alignment with Ops/IT on associated ROI and resourcing
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years’ experience working in the Warehousing & Distribution space with minimum of 1-2 years driving process improvements and/or system deployments with a focus on performance guided by data
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or related Business degree
- Working knowledge and understanding of lean, project management and change management a big plus
- Clear communicator with keen ability to present findings in succinct presentations; experience with executive communications
- Strong quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated use of data analysis and metrics to drive decision making and continuous improvement
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain concepts and financial acumen
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence internal and external customers to get results
