Requirements
About the role
We are looking for a talented and experienced Workday Specialist to join our growing People Team. Reporting to the Director of People Operations and working closely with our IT counterpart, you will lead the best practices of implementation, maintenance, and support of Workday (to be implemented in fall, 2021). You will be the subject matter expert on all things Workday (from system configuration to reporting and everything in between) and you will be a very visible member of the people team as you work cross-departmentally.
The ideal candidate will be a deep subject matter expert in the Workday HCM suite. This is not your first rodeo: you’ve been elbows deep in workday in at least one scaling company. Ideally, you’ve been a part of a Workday implementation in your past and you know all the mistakes to avoid! You will also be organized and analytical with the ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment across multiple teams. Building from the ground up is seen as an exciting opportunity rather than an obstacle.
Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and solve complex business problems for integrating Workday with external applications across our People, Payroll, and Financial functional areas,
- Partner with the broader People and Technology teams to lead HCM systems related projects, including system implementations and releases, upgrades, enhancement packages, custom module build-out, and process design.
- Lead the design, build, and support testing of Workday integration code base including Studio, EIB, and Cloud Connect Integrations, maintaining and supporting integration delivery.
- Develop integrations between Workday and other company systems, requiring expertise in API configuration, and the use of SSO.
- Manage integration development process, requiring interaction with global resources across multiple geographic locations.
- Responsible for overall performance and availability of integrations.
- Implementation support, Workday optimization related to information technology operations, business processes, security, and data integrity for the applications.
- Partner with the People and IT team, consultants, and end users to determine strategic needs, define functional and technical specifications, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
Requirements
- At least 3+ years of Workday implementation experience, or at least 1+ year if fully trained and certified through a Workday Partner
- Experience in Studio, SSO, and creation of API solutions is essential
- Strong understanding of Workday environment management, release management, configuration best practices, and deployment methodologies
- Ability to identify gaps in business requirements, including a strong ability to ask the right questions to fill in gaps
- Exposure to application architecture, development and integration practices
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, capable of fostering strong relationships with end-users and rapidly provide solutions based needs
