Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it's necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
As the ideal Workplace Experience Manager, you enjoy being in the center of things. You are seen as a trusted advisor by leaders and a strong communicator by both your team and a large and growing customer base. You are also a big picture problem solver with a proven ability to manage and implement change focused on the customer. You are adaptable and understand the need to experiment and pivot in a fast-paced environment that's always changing. You have a dedicated focus on delivering a Workplace that aligns with the Atlassian values and its hard-working team environment. You have the ability to quickly understand the evolving culture, anticipate change and translate this into revised Workplace Experience offerings. You are an influencer through your first-class communication skills - both in writing and confident speaking. You recognize the value of both the physical and distributed workplaces and their impact on employee engagement and productivity.
The Workplace Experience team acts as a 3D billboard for our values, creates an environment where Atlassians are able to choose their own journey and maintains the agility to stay aligned with our Customers.
Does this sound exciting to you? You might be the person we're looking for.
About you:
You are willing to reside in the greater New York area
You thrive on the success of the entire team, as well as the individual team members
You are a champion for new ideas and love to experiment
You are an experienced collaborator and a great communicator
You value relationships, both internal and external
You are comfortable operating with ambiguity in a demanding and fast-paced environment
In this role you will:
Observe the way both Atlassian staff and Atlassian processes work so you can anticipate future needs and propose improvements.
Communicate with your stakeholders and with your customers through 1-to-1 interactions, focus groups and company tools to maintain feedback loops and gain realtime insights
Run high-visibility, high-impact strategic programs (which range from technical delivery, analytics deep dives, customer insights, operational efficiency, and change management)
Work across the organization and company to drive outcomes, align with business owners and stakeholders, mitigate risk, and deliver value to our internal and external customers
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
7+ years of relevant professional experience in program and portfolio management
Experience building strategy based on vision and goals, turning a strategy into executable plans, and driving high visibility and complex projects
An analytical rigor, drive to support decisions with data, and the ability to make data digestible to varied audiences (big data, financial models, etc.)
Experience in diagnosing pain points for teams, ushering their Workplace Experience to "good", and then going the extra mile to ensure it is "great"
It's great if you have:
A well-developed network of contacts in the employee experience and customer service industries
Experience with trusted local vendors and solutions partners in relevant industries
You'll be joining the Workplace Experience team based in the New York area as Workplace Experience Manager for the East Coast Region with programs that serve our two East Coast offices - New York and Boston - a growing remote population up and down the East Coast, and beyond. As Program Managers, we build trusted networks, seek clarity, and serve as the drivers of change and improvement to ensure teams deliver on complex, cross-functional programs.
As a team, we challenge each other constantly to improve our outcomes. We band together to develop and apply practices, patterns, and frameworks that deliver impact at scale and enable and empower all teams. We're direct, focused, and demand excellence, but there's laughter in every meeting because we enjoy the work we do and the impact it has. Pets, coffee, tea and Tim Tams (an Australian treat) are a few of our favorite things.
