Vocal Media is seeking a strategic, analytical, and highly collaborative Paid Media Manager to lead paid social strategy, end-to-end media planning, and hands-on media buying across our portfolio of issue-advocacy and creator-driven campaigns. Acting as a critical link between programmatic design and tactical execution, you will not only design overarching campaign frameworks but also actively build, launch, and optimize paid ad placements. You will also support Vocal’s fast-growing Experimentation vertical by supporting new and innovative product offerings as needed.

The ideal candidate has a sophisticated understanding of digital ad architecture, a proven track record of managing full-funnel media buying budgets, and a commitment to integrating creative assets with rigorous quantitative performance tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Lead paid social strategy, media planning, and hands-on media buying across client campaigns.
  • Conceptualize and execute comprehensive cross-platform targeting and deployment strategies for advocacy and paid influencer programs.
  • Actively build, launch, and manage full-funnel paid campaigns in native ad managers (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads).
  • Manage and pace client ad budgets, including developing custom and lookalike audience architecture with a focus on data privacy.
  • Monitor daily performance against strict client KPIs and execute real-time optimization pivots and budget redistributions.
  • Serve as the technical media buying advisor in client planning sessions, translating complex metrics (CPA, CTR, CPM) into actionable insights and authoring quantitative performance reports.
  • Collaborate with Creator Program Managers to integrate organic influencer creative with paid media strategies.
  • Support experimental creator program vertical, including supporting content strategy, creator sourcing, and reporting as needed.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in paid digital campaign management and hands-on media buying/planning (political, public affairs, or mission-driven agency background preferred).
  • Deep technical mastery of Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, and Google Ads. Experience using influencer-generated content (IGC) for partnership ads / allow-listing is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in interpreting complex data sets, diagnosing delivery issues, and distilling buying metrics into polished client-facing narratives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple overlapping projects and thrive in a fast-paced, experimental startup environment.
  • Experience with cloud databases and project software (e.g., Airtable Forms) and familiarity with IGC for partnership ads/allow-listing highly preferred.

Benefits

This cycle-hire position includes full-time employment through November 2026.

    Benefits include:

  • Health insurance covered at 90% for full time employees; Dental and Vision available
  • Unlimited PTO and sick leave
  • 401(k) plan & company contribution
