Job Description

Are you passionate about technology and playing a key role in redefining the future of cancer care?

 

Join MSK’s API Platform team as we meet the challenge of cancer care as it defines a new model of care in the digital age.  The API Platform team will enable our toolmakers to meet this challenge.  The candidate will be the subject matter expert for all API products at the institution and will deeply understand its technical benefits and specifications.  The candidate must possess the ability to communicate the benefits to others in the organization – including colleagues, executives and technical staff.

 

The API Product Manager will help define and shape the vision for MSK’s API Product Portfolio.  Are you up for the challenge?

 

What you'll do:

  • Facilitate cross-functional conversations to develop an organizational plan for the API Portfolio roadmap.
  • Own the delivery experience for the API developers and consumers. 
  • Help drive and manage the API Product roadmap for both short-term wins and long-term planning.  You will map out the current state of our APIs for both internal users and external (partners, customers and health consumers).  You must be able to paint the big picture and logically map the APIs that make sense to the human mind.
  • Lead the effort in our API maturity journey from low level data driven APIs to functional actionable APIs.
  • Present and lead discussions at Application Developer Communities of Practice meetups.
  • Build and publish APIs using IBM API Connect and design the logical topologies that include catalogues, spaces, plans and products.
  • Collaborates in an agile team with API Developers, Architects and Engineers.

Who you are:

  • 2-4 years product or program management experience
  • Software development background is a must.  You must have experience building APIs.
  • Resilient, action-oriented, and able to manage complexity
  • Ability to quickly understand data
  • Bachelor’s Degree
