Who We Are

The Farmer’s Dog was created to radically improve the $90 billion global pet food industry — starting with a subscription service that sends freshly-made food directly to customers’ doors. Long term, our aim is to simplify every part of pet care, bettering the lives of the animals who make our lives better. Backed by the early investors of Warby Parker, Dollar Shave Club, and Sweetgreen, we've raised over $100M in funding and seek to build a company as healthy as the dogs we feed.

Join The Farmer’s Dog team as we continue to figure out ways of bringing peace of mind to customers, health to their companions, and much-needed change to the way people feed and care for their pets.

#LongLiveDogsWhere You'll Come In

We’re looking for an analytical and empathetic Associate Product Manager, Internal Tools to optimize our CX tooling and be dedicated to our outstanding Customer Experience Department. You’ll be joining the Growth/Product Department, which works to grow The Farmer’s Dog’s active customer base in an efficient and responsible fashion.

In the role, you’ll partner with functions across the business (CX, Engineering, Data) to help increase accuracy and efficiency of our internal functions through seamlessly automated and simplified manual workflows. You will own all tools used by our Customer Experience Department which includes our in-house order and account management tool.

This is an opportunity to dive into a wealth of data to help our team deliver a world-class experience to our customers. If you're passionate about problem-solving, automation, beautiful processes, and educating and empowering your teammates then this role could be a perfect fit.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Work with the other Internal tools PM and leadership to synthesize OKRs into a goal-directed roadmap that you will lead all aspects of from prioritization to execution
  • Conduct continuous stakeholder research across our functions to help identify inefficient and error-prone processes
  • Dive into qualitative and quantitative data to rigorously identify and prioritize initiatives to help improve our tools for the Customer Experience Department across innovative big bets and continuous incremental improvements
  • Develop an extensive knowledge of our products, audience and company goals. The CX Department operates in a constantly evolving technology ecosystem, and staying on top of the landscape in which we operate is vital.
  • Build out flowcharts of existing workflows and conceptualize automation solutions with engineering to help drive efficiency
  • Write world-class documentation that can be used for onboarding and continued learning
  • Collaborate with CX to improve processes, address tool inefficiencies and automate workflows to do with account and subscription management
  • Communicate optimally across functions to ensure alignment across the organization
  • Set and exceed ambitious key results, then collaborate with our data function to measure and forecast important metrics like error rates, tickets per agent, and time to complete and NPS

We're Excited About You Because

  • 3+ years of Product Management experience at an e-commerce, subscription and/or tech-based company
  • A consistent track record in taking ambiguous user feedback and turning it into meaningful user requirements
  • An empathetic approach and eagerness to help solve customer and team problems
  • A high level of comfortability with data (SQL and/or Looker knowledge preferred)
  • Curiosity may have killed the cat but it definitely did not kill the dog! You are relentlessly curious and willing to dig into the “why” before defining and prioritizing new projects and features to ensure we are addressing the problem that can bring the highest impact and value for the team
  • Strong expertise in planning, prioritizing, and executing a roadmap
  • Self-motivated and proactive - you don't wait for direction, but know when consensus is critical
  • A master communicator, both in-person and digitally, with a deep appreciation for good documentation
  • Software engineering experience and experience supporting internal functions are a plus
