The Associate Product Manager role
This is an exciting opportunity to work on our product team to support feature exploration and development across the Petal user journey. We are a lean team of scrappy product managers with an exciting user base and lots of ideas! We are looking for an associate product manager to join our team, work with PMs on various initiatives including running with exploratory data, developing test plans and identifying user pain points. If you are looking to enter the product world, this is a unique role to learn about the development lifecycle and work with multiple stakeholders within Petal.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with product managers to understand, prioritize and spec our overall system development, API integrations, user experiences and KPIs
- Assist with cross-functional projects and launches through planning, execution, monitoring and managing incoming customer feedback
- Help drive full stack product features by collecting and analyzing data, consolidating technical documentation and presenting key learnings
- Synthesize outputs of product brainstorms and create wireframes and specs to drive the feature forward
- Support operations, legal and compliance, marketing and customer support teams in product questions, brainstorms and remediations
- Debug and triage potential issues as they arise and act as a key driver for new dashboarding and product analytics
- Work with customer experience and marketing to develop and iterate our customer-facing copy
- Manage aspects scrum and agile ceremonies
Characteristics of the ideal candidate:
- At least 1 year of experience in product management, product analytics or another cross-functional consumer experience focused role
- Enjoy being a flexible, productive generalist and willing to solve problems and create delightful experience across the entire user journey
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including ability to communicate a project to everyone from legal to customer support to engineering
- Experience creating mockups of product specs
- Proficient in SQL for data analysis is a plus
- Willing to dive into data and user research output to identify product opportunities
- Strong problem solving skills for triaging ad hoc requests that come through
