As a Data Platform Product Manager, you will be part of a team that is responsible for meeting the competing demands of the business to grow market share and profits. The Product Manager will work cross-functionally with various departments within the organization on a regular basis. As part of the Product Management team, you bridge the technical (Engineering and Design) and business worlds, (Sales and Operations) as you bring to market new and extend existing data products. Being extremely entrepreneurial is required to innovate and execute product initiatives across the company. You must enjoy spending time doing market research, interacting with clients and client facing teams, understanding senior leader’s feedback, and gaining insights from our extensive first party and behavioral dataset to understand opportunities/problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader digital marketplace.

The Data Platform Product Manager will work closely with the Account Management, Data Campaign Operations, and Survey teams. The key role is to use qualitative and quantitative data to identify, prioritize, and execute on new and enhanced data product opportunities that drive new market share. The Product Manager will be at the core of our data product development team, independently leading projects through the full product development life-cycle from concept through implementation and launch.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand the marketplace, competitive landscape, clients, and data to identify product opportunities
  • Participate in strategic planning and management of the data product roadmap
  • Evangelize data products with internal and external stakeholders
  • Own the product development life-cycle from idea to launch
  • Leverage lean/agile processes to manage, plan, implement, and iterate on minimally viable products
  • Once proven, productize and scale minimally viable products
  • Define and analyze metrics to measure product success
  • Communicate product performance across the organization
  • Communicate and coordinate with various departments to ensure that project timelines are met, and projects are implemented efficiently and effectively

Requirements

  • 2+ years of product/project management experience building and launching successful data-driven products ideally at a media or digital marketing company
  • Product experience related to ad serving, algorithm development, automation, or data management is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, efficient and goal oriented
  • Naturally curious with a desire to learn and make things better
  • Thinks strategically with a keen ability to turn complex problems into simple and intuitive solutions
  • Operates as a matrix manager, coordinating resources from multiple areas
  • Communicates effectively through written and verbal methods
  • Identifies trends and patterns within datasets, verifies data for accuracy, and uses qualitative skills to make sound decisions with incomplete information
  • Experience manipulating and understanding large datasets using tools and techniques such as SQL, pivot tables, and lookups
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business
