Central Data & Analytics (CDA)

The group’s mission is to drive WeWork’s data strategy, empower its data & analytics community, and scale data & analytics globally while ensuring consistency and alignment.

As the Product Director of Central Data & Analytics, you will be the product leader of the group. You will partner with the group’s VP, Engineering lead, Data Science lead and stakeholders to develop and own the group’s roadmap. You will be responsible for leading and managing a group of Product Managers (PMs) that span business, analytics and tech stakeholders. Products in the CDA portfolio include the data analytics stack, including data pipelines, storage/DW, business intelligence, data visualization, data science applications, and ML feature pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Establish the product vision and strategy for all of Central Data & Analytics, as well as the goals to measure success

• Build, mentor, and lead a world-class team of Product Managers, while creating and evolving the ideal organizational design

• Interface with senior executive (across all functions eg C-Suite, Finance, Marketing etc) and technology leadership to understand and flesh out the data needs of the organization

• Understand the needs of data & analytics teams across The We Company and anticipate future use cases as the organization, data and technology scale

• Develop product roadmaps that build alignment across product teams and deliver value to our users

• Drive adoption of new services around the company

Requirements

• Strategic product vision coupled with a drive for delivery and execution

• 5-7 years experience in digital products. 3-5 in data products strongly preferred (data pipelines, business intelligence, data warehousing, machine learning) but other product experience.

• 5+ years of people management experience

• Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment, while building extensible and scalable solutions

• Strong analytical, data, and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Creative problem solver. Able to identify real obstacles and viable solutions

• Outcome-oriented. Not reactionary, articulates the desired outcome and works collaboratively to create a path to achieve it

• Deep understanding of technical architecture for complex and highly scalable services

• Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and effectively simplify and communicate them to a non-technical audience
