Director of Product Management

MakerBot is looking for a detail-oriented Director of Product Management to join our team located in Brooklyn, NY. This role will work closely with product leadership to develop and iterate on a wide-variety of MakerBot hardware and software products. The Director of Product Management will also collaborate with engineering, design, marketing and other teams to execute on high-level goals and validate product success.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead team of PMs working towards delivering industry best products to MakerBot’s new and future customers
  • Craft product vision and communicate it across the business
  • Translate vision into roadmaps for multiple products, considering input from stakeholders in all departments
  • Monitor and report on product KPIs
  • Cunning prioritization skills
  • Evaluate existing customer pain points and work with product and engineering teams on hypothesis-driven feature development
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research efforts
  • Use both lean and agile methodologies to launch and manage products in conjunction with other high-level stakeholders
  • Own the launch and success criteria of features developed
  • Clearly communicate project status to a variety of audiences, thoughtfully and genuinely incorporating feedback
  • Analyze the impact of new features post-launch and uncover new opportunities
  • Plan and coordinate work with other MakerBot teams as well as 3rd party vendors

Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in product management
  • 2+ years of team management
  • Strong technical understanding or background
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and shipping products
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who takes ownership over his/her work
  • Leadership skills and enjoyment of collaborative teamwork
  • Strategic, data-driven mentality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to see the big picture while maintaining close attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects
