About The Role:
Taskrabbit is looking for a talented product leader to help lead the next phase of Taskrabbit’s growth. As the Director of Product - Partnerships, you will be responsible for enabling Taskrabbit to unite with some of the biggest brands on the planet to offer Taskrabbit services to their customers, including IKEA, our parent company. Partnerships are a critical growth engine for Taskrabbit and one of our top strategic priorities. In this role, you and your team will be responsible for bringing our partnerships initiatives to life and ensuring that we deliver an amazing experience for Clients, added value for Partners, and a meaningful source of income for Taskers on our platform.
Taskrabbit is a rapidly growing and scaling company, and the right candidate will be able to balance business needs with long term foundational investments. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and other business leaders in the company and your peers to ensure the success of our Partnership initiative. You will also work with other Product leaders and your counterparts in Engineering, Design, and Data to help build the Product discipline at Taskrabbit - the right candidate will be excited about contributing to the broader functional organization, both by mentoring PMs, and by helping to shape Taskrabbit’s processes and team culture.
What You’ll Work On:
- Driving the product vision and strategy within Taskrabbit for our Partnership products, helping identify and unlock new potential opportunities for Taskrabbit’s growth.
- Developing a keen understanding of the needs of the Taskrabbit marketplace and how to effectively integrate Taskrabbit with 3rd parties for optimal success.
- Setting the direction for your team of product managers as well as engineers, designers and data to deliver an amazing experience for Partners, Clients and Taskers.
- Diving deep when needed with strong ability to be hands-on on defining and documenting complex integration requirements
- Attracting, building and managing a team of talented product managers who in turn lead the product development of their respective teams.
- Managing multiple product areas, scale teams, and ensure your org is effective, healthy and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals.
- Developing and communicating roadmaps, priorities, experiments and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences from partner teams to engineering teams to executive levels.
- Building close stakeholder relationships within Taskrabbit and IKEA and play an active leadership role in building confidence, setting expectations and making tough tradeoff decisions
- Driving cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, and data along with key stakeholders, other product teams, and the leadership team
- Working across groups to create a connected vision for building a scalable business that aligns with our customers needs
- Leveraging customer research and data to deeply understand the needs of our users
- Own the destiny of the Taskrabbit products and ensure the vision comes to life
Your Areas of Expertise:
- Strong experience as a product leader with a proven track record of hiring and developing a team of talented and ambitious product managers
- Experience building consumer facing experiences and how to balance business needs with longer term improvements and technical investments
- Experience with complex 3rd party integrations and understand the unique challenges and opportunities they present
- Cross-functional leadership ability and naturally collaborate across multiple domains
- Ability to clearly define success metrics at the organizational level, and articulate how teams and projects are contributing to them
- Exceptional communication. You are comfortable and confident presenting to senior leadership and can craft a clear narrative to communicate your work.
- A strong business sense and use those instincts to help inform strategic business decisions
- Ability to motivate senior leadership and partners around insights and strategies developed
- A strong bias for execution and ensure that all teams are consistently shipping product and delivering customer value
- Ambitious goals but take a pragmatic approach to reaching them
- An appreciation for and employ open, honest, healthy communication. We have no time for politics.
- Prior experience working with a two-sided marketplace in general and API integrations specifically is a big plus
