As the Director of Product Strategy at OnDeck, you will:
- Develop and own OnDeck’s future-state strategic product roadmap aligned with the company vision, covering OnDeck's US and international markets (currently Australia and Canada).
- Determine OnDeck’s next big products and features through customer & market research, viability assessment, economic analysis, and competitive intelligence.
- Identify and size market opportunities and target customer segments.
- Fully understand the needs of our target customers through user research and interviews.
- Analyze financial benefits, costs, and risks to build sound strategies and prioritize effectively.
- Gather competitive intelligence.
- Gain alignment across a diverse set of stakeholders from product, marketing, risk, tech, international, finance, sales, and the executive team.
- Evangelize your ideas and your roadmap throughout the organization.
- Manage a team of 3-5 product managers and analysts.
Necessary qualifications for success:
- User-centric mindset and drive to deliver the best possible solutions for your customers.
- 10+ years of experience, which should include some of the following: Product Management, Strategy, Management Consulting, Business Analysis, Marketing Strategy, and Data Analysis.
- Exceptional verbal and presentation communication skills.
- Data-driven approach to understanding user needs and discovering and evaluating product opportunities.
- Expertise in financial products, preferably credit / lending.
- Success managing small high-performing teams.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent relationship builder across diverse stakeholders.
- Located in the New York metropolitan area or near our Virginia office (DC area) and willing to travel frequently.
Nice-to-haves (not required):
- MBA or Master’s degree in an analytic field.
- Experience with products geared towards Small Business customers.
- FinTech experience a plus.
