The Role

 

The Director of Product Training Development position is a hands-on people manager role that will lead the strategy, planning, design, development, and maintenance of product training courses that enable customers, partners, and employees to effectively use, administer, and configure Veeva products.

 

The ideal candidate possesses a thorough grasp of adult learning theory. They have successful experience building role-based product training that supports the adoption of enterprise software. You are detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Work with subject matter experts and curriculum developers to analyze, design, build, and maintain a portfolio of product training programs.
  • Work cross-functionally with Veeva instructors, product teams, and customer-facing groups (Services, Customer Success, Support, and Solution Consulting) to determine learning requirements and develop measurable learning objectives that support job enablement for the appropriate personas. 
  • Lead all aspects of Veeva’s Training Development Factory.
  • Create and evolve tools, processes, standards, and procedures to support the development and maintenance of Veeva Product Training.
  • Train the development team (full-time employee/contractor mix) management and growth.
  • Manage the training project scope, scheduling, resourcing, and quality assurance.
  • Engineer job-relevant, immersive learning experiences that exceed expectations and ensure the attainment of stated learning outcomes. 
  • Create defensible formative and summative assessments.

  • Measurement

  • Incorporate learner knowledge and skill assessments into the training curriculum.
  • Define and track KPIs related to Training Development Factory effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise application training (instructor-led and eLearning) in support of a global SaaS company.
  • Experience managing and working with remote teams.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills with a demonstrated aptitude for designing training content for both a technical audience and a business user audience. 
  • Experience using courseware development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate, Camtasia, Lectora, Office, etc).
  • Flexible, collaborative, team-oriented individual who is ambitious, takes initiative and holds themselves accountable.
  • Background in Life Sciences and/or the SaaS domain.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communications, English, Education, Computer Science, Instructional Design, or equivalent. A Master's Degree in Instructional Design or a related field is desirable.
  • Experience leveraging learning management systems and learning technologies for maximum learning outcome effect.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and timelines

  • Salesforce, Vault Platform, and Zendesk Experience
  • Multilingual
