As a Director of Product owning Workflow Efficiency and Customer Service Engagement, your teams will be designing technology that superpowers the people at Better who serve our customers by connecting the right person to the right work to do at the right time and empower them with the context they need to serve our customers efficiently and with high quality, all the while creating a data flywheel that feeds insights into improve these processes and experiences.

In this role, you will straddle the line between strategy and execution, working closely with senior business leaders in Sales and Operations, Engineering, Design and Data science to imagine, design, and deploy a best-in-class homeownership journey at scale. With your partners in Design and Engineering, will need to forge bold visions for how to solve these complex problems and then work to translate these into execution, delivering value incrementally while building infrastructure that can power exponential growth.

This role will be key to differentiating Better in a highly fragmented market, and a fundamental part of our business that powers a best in class experience for customers.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with and lead cross functional teams to set product vision and strategy
  • Define and socialize the roadmap of your product area through deep research and understanding of business goals
  • Manage your team to bring your solutions to market through ownership of the full product lifecycle: problem identification, solution design, spec, implementation and validation
  • Build products that empower our sales, operations, business teams across our portfolio of product offerings to make better decisions and add delight to our end user’s experience
  • Make magic out of a complex and antiquated industry through intense focus on simplification
  • Go deep into both technical huddles with engineers and strategic discussions with executives
  • Manage competing priorities with consistency and transparency  
  • This role is designated as ‘Flex Mode,’ and is not a fully remote position. The number of days in office will vary based on role requirements. As such, employees must be located within commuting distance of the office and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

About You:

  • You have 10-12+ years of Product Management experience 
  • You have 5+ years of experience managing high performing teams 
  • You have experience bringing a product line from ideation to launch 
  • You have significant experience partnering with Sales and Operations senior leadership 
  • You have experience building products for internal users and can cite business impact you’ve had through these products
  • You have experience working on early stage startups and thrive when working with white space
  • You’re an analytical, metrics-driven thinker who is deeply empathetic and leads with a user-centered approach - you understand that good design can improve efficiency and drive business impact 
  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and have a proven track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders
  • You’re committed to collaboration and are able to work well with other business units to build iterative solutions that continuously deliver value
  • You have a proven track record of entering a new space and building expertise rapidly
  • You are not afraid of getting your hands dirty and are equally comfortable balancing tactical and strategic investments
  • You challenge archaic processes to make them better for consumers by removing friction 
  • You’re a systems thinker with an understanding that spans all levels of abstraction
  • You are comfortable in an ever-changing environment and have a passion for successfully navigating ambiguous problem areas
