Honest Buildings is seeking a Director of Product to lead our team of dynamic product managers and work with our Chief Product Officer on strategizing and executing our product roadmap. You will guide the product team in communicating the value of our product to internal and external stakeholders, collaborate with Design and Engineering to build a scalable product development process, and ensure our product’s overall success in market.

Responsibilities

Shape the product roadmap & strategy:

  • Work directly with the Chief Product Officer to develop short and long-term product strategy for our SaaS and Data products.
  • Build a roadmap with product team and communicate it clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a key product expert for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Define and track success metrics for the product and product team to ensure the product is delivering value as expected.

Serve as the communication backbone of the company:

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Design team leads to establish and oversee an effective development lifecycle process for all product areas.
  • Partner with the Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing team leads to ensure proper communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Build direct relationships with customers.
  • Establish effective collaboration and coordination processes between product managers.

Coach product team:

  • Coach product managers on the product management lifecycle and manage their performance.
  • Oversee feature prioritization across the product team.
  • Review product manager work output, including product briefs/hypotheses, functional specs, product strategy, feature release plans and key metrics.
  • Gain insights into existing product usage, uncover business needs, and discuss pain points in order to deeply understand how we can unlock additional value.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience of product management experience, building enterprise level software.
  • 2+ years of experience managing a product team.
  • Experience in developing and communicating a product roadmap to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in fast-paced, agile software development environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and execution skills.
  • Proven track record of partnering with engineering teams in a highly technical environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to lead and coach product managers to solve complex problems and deliver great user experiences.
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to build deep relationships and earn the respect of other teams and other functions within the organization.
