We are looking for an exceptional Head of Product who is passionate about designing and building customer experiences to join the executive leadership team and drive the product vision, definition and prioritization.

As the Head of Product, you will lead and drive product development for this new venture. You will essentially be the glue that brings together customer and market needs to develop a compelling product vision and deliver our disruptive solution to market. The Head of Product will have a broad base of skills to collaborate effectively with design, strategy, and engineering throughout the product development life-cycle, from concept through market launch and beyond. You will oversee the product teams and drive the overall vision, strategy, and execution.

Product Strategy

  • Define the overall product vision and strategy with inputs from key stakeholders
  • Provide the voice of the customer in key strategic discussions
  • Collaborate with strategy teams to understand the competitive landscape and develop the business model and operating plans
  • Build, manage and maintain the product roadmap and features
  • Serve as the product evangelist and communicate the vision and progress across key stakeholders
  • Define outcome-based product KPIs (not just lists of features) to organize work and measure success

Product Execution

  • Work with design teams to gain an understanding of user personas, pain points and journeys; act as the voice of the customer and synthesize product feedback from key stakeholders
  • Set near-term product priorities in support of the overall vision, effectively balancing short-term and long-term objectives to deliver maximum value
  • Collaborate with strategy, design, and engineering teams to prioritize and deliver key product features using an iterative, agile approach
  • Be a champion of the MVP concept and drive towards product-market fit by “de-risking” and validating key areas of the product through frequent market feedback (via concept testing, analytics, A/B testing, surveys, POCs, etc.)
  • Oversee product team members and ensure effective overall delivery by championing lean startup, agile, and other product development best practices across the team

Desired Expertise and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in digital product management, with demonstrated leadership roles and experience launching digital products
  • Significant experience in a startup environment, taking products from inception to launch and building an effective product team
  • 5+ years of experience developing products in the highly regulated banking or financial services industry (fintech)
  • Experience collaborating with external stakeholders and/or investors
  • Strong understanding of mobile and web technologies and industries
  • A demonstrated and focused desire to build products and services that customers will love
  • A demonstrated history of accountability and performance delivery, leading teams to meet or exceed objectives
  • An ability to think strategically and creatively with superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • An ability to build strong organizational partnerships within the new venture and the corporate partner.
  • A diligent attention to detail and strong technical intuition
  • The ability to manage time and schedules to meet aggressive deadlines and influence through persuasive written and verbal communication
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and ability to operate collaboratively with all levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with common PM tools for sprint planning (JIRA, etc.), road maps, analytics and tracking, etc.

Education

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution
  • An MBA or other advanced degree (preferred)
