About the Role

iCapital Network is looking for an exceptionally accomplished and talented Product Manager to collaborate with the iCapital Portfolio Management team to build the brand for the iCapital KKR Private Markets Fund and other registered products in the marketplace while instituting first class processes to manage these products day to day. The ideal candidate will need to design and drive product management efficiencies to enable both distribution and service of the product.

iCapital offers a full-scale, digital marketplace providing access to a wide range of quality alternative investments to assist in creating and servicing investments on behalf of wealth advisors and their high-net-worth clients. iCapital also offers white-labeled technology solutions to help streamline the subscription processing and reporting functions of alternative investment fund managers and wealth management firms through customized modular workflows and related services.  

The iCapital KKR Private Markets Fund (“iKF”) is a collaboration between iCapital and KKR to offer accredited investors innovative access to a diversified portfolio of private equity investments primarily sponsored or advised by KKR. The fund seeks to allocate to secondary and co-investment opportunities, as well as primary fund commitments –with diversification across geographies, sectors, and vintage years. 

The Senior Vice President will be a member of iCapital's Fund Management and Research Team, reporting to the head of Portfolio Management with a dual line into the head of Product Development. This professional will work closely with subject matter experts in portfolio management, product development, distribution, investor relations, fund finance, marketing, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement overall marketing plan which includes product positioning, materials, web presence, seminars, targeting and prioritizing top distribution platforms, organizing speaking slots at conferences, webinars, etc.
  • Attend investment meetings with portfolio managers to stay abreast of investment themes, new investments, distributions, cash position, etc.
  • Create, develop, and maintain materials including thought pieces to assist in building awareness (both internally and externally) of unique selling points, marketing of strategies, and providing performance updates.
  • Engage with internal constituents from across iCapital to position and prioritize product.
  • Coordinate with internal business teams (legal, accounting, fund admin, operations, investor relations, distribution) on all aspects of product, including managing existing and new selling agreements.
  • Develop strong relationships with key retail clients; serve as initial point of contact and client facing strategist to address questions from the internal sales force, existing investors in iKF, and prospects.
  • Work with the Investor Relations team to help manage client reporting.
  • Assist teams managing roadshows, marketing efforts, sales meetings, and prospect lists.
  • Prepare and maintain product pitchbooks, portfolio review decks, quarterly calls, and other marketing collateral, ensuring these meet compliance standards.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests (e.g., performance analytics / attribution, bespoke reporting)
  • Support recurring reporting templates.
  • Update DDQs and RFPs with product and strategy level information.
  • Help enhance existing processes with new ideas/automation and developing best practices across the Product Strategy platform.
  • Support and investigate technology and process options to scale and automate routine client service activities.
  • Collaborate with the Product Strategy team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; CFA/CAIA/MBA a plus
  • Minimum 10 years of professional work experience in alternatives (including registered fund product management)
  • Experience in product management with a focus on commingled private fund structures, including identifying, analyzing, and driving investor and operational support models and legal and compliance considerations
  • Ability to develop strong and trusted relationships with both internal teams and external clients
  • Ability to clearly communicate objectives across a range of stakeholders, including senior management, and to articulate the rationale behind those goals
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, and analytical skills
  • Exceptional marketing and collaborative skills
  • Effective communication skills
