As our Head of Product and a member of the founding team of Chroma Health, a new venture aiming to transform the way underserved groups engage with the healthcare system to access culturally competent care, you will own the creation, prioritization and management of Chroma Health's product vision and product roadmap.
You will report to and work with the Chroma Health's Venture Chair. This role is 100% remote.
What you'll do:
- Define the Product organization’s near-term and long-term goals, aligned and contributing to the overall success of Chroma Health's culture and growth
- Create and own the product organization’s hiring roadmap; defining areas of product ownership for and later growing and managing a team of future Product Managers (functional areas could include, but are not limited to: core product PMs; growth, customer success PMs; data, business intelligence PMs)
- Define the product organization’s workflows and standards of practice
- Work cross-functionally with other organization leaders, such as sales, partnerships, marketing and operations, to translate organizational needs into the product roadmap
- Partner with strong engineering, design, and analytics counterparts, acting as a contributor and thought leader to drive the successful execution of the product vision. The Head of Product may also lead and build out these teams pending the product organization vision
- Build a product organization that relies on both qualitative and quantitative feedback loops, with extensive input from partnerships and community teams as well as a strong data infrastructure and data-driven product culture
- Manage the product organization’s budget, also informing build vs buy technology decisions
What you'll need:
- Background
- Proven ability to take a digital product from conception to reality, including experience defining KPIs for your roadmap and team
- Proven product leadership track record; your former or current direct reports speak highly of you
- Track record of managing a team of 10+
- Experience managing budget and working cross-functionally to make productive resourcing decisions and tradeoffs
- Natural leadership skills and an ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills: a successful candidate will have emotional intelligence, and should be diplomatic, charismatic, persuasive, and credible to a wide variety of audiences, both internal and external
- Should be both a user-centric product builder, as well as a data-driven analytical thinker
- High energy, self-direction, stamina, and possessing a strong work ethic
