Lead Product Manager
The Role
Cedar is improving the healthcare financial experience. Our technology improves the overall experience of patient billing and engagement, enabling providers to thrive in a rapidly changing environment while helping patients understand the cost of their care.
Cedar is looking for a Lead Product Manager to join the team and own a product area. At a high level, the role will involve:
- Product Strategy: meeting with external clients and our internal commercial + business teams to gain an understanding of the key problems to focus on and develop strategies for how we plan to solve them
- Product Development: working with engineering, design, data science to execute on the strategy and launch high quality products
- Commercialization: driving go-to-market strategy in collaboration with our commercial + business teams to drive adoption and fully realize customer value
- People Management: recruiting and effectively managing a world class team of PMs
Responsibilities
- Lead product discovery through direct client engagement and desk research in order to gain market insights and drive product strategy
- Investigate and scope which key problems your product area should solve
- Develop and share thought leadership around your product and its market
- Develop and lead execution on a roadmap for the product development team (engineering, design, data science) which aligns with our overarching product strategy
- Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to create specs and implement features
- Drive and improve the product planning, discovery, development, and commercialization processes with your team
- Define measurement strategies for your team, your product, and product launches and partner with data science to implement and draw out insights
- Define go-to-market strategy for releases within your product area and partner with sales, account management and operations to ensure seamless delivery and full value for customers
- Build and manage a world class team of PMs
Skills & Experience
- Effective communicator to both internal and external stakeholders
- Comfortable solving big, ambiguous problems
- Track record of successful delivery of complex software products
- Strong analytical and data driven approach
- Based in or willing to relocate to NYC (post-COVID)
- Prior B2B product experience in an enterprise client-facing role
- 8+ years of product management experience working directly with engineers
- 3+ years of people management experience in the product function
Bonus Qualifications
- Marketing and product marketing experience
- Domain knowledge in the healthcare space (providers, insurance companies, tech companies…), specifically within the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Electronic Medical Record (EMR), or patient engagement spaces
