The Dotdash Commerce team is looking for a Product Catalog Specialist to maintain and improve the integrity of our product information catalog, where we store all of our data, research, and insights about every product we recommend.
The Product Catalog Specialist will initially be tasked with revamping our product category taxonomy, standardizing workflows to capture data across multiple sites, and initiating cleanup projects for existing products.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the integrity and quality of the product information in our product database
• Build product hierarchy/taxonomy and assign products into categories
• Create and enforce policies for effective data management across editorial teams
• Formulate management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data
• Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects
• Support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to data integrity standards
• Develop strategy and process to collect and ingest product specs and test results
• Audit and scrub existing data in the database to assure for accuracy
• Deploy large scale data clean ups to maintain high quality data in the product database
• Lead editorial quality control for new content migrations

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years experience organizing editorial data
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to categorize products
• An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
