Product Lead (contract)
We’re looking for a highly experienced Product leader for a 4-6 month engagement, with the potential to extend. As a part of the Product team, you will help to build a cutting edge platform that will define the future of real estate transactions. You’ve contributed as a Product leader or consultant at a few startups by now, and you’re able to get right to work with an Engineering team to deliver impactful features in a B2B startup environment. You really shine scoping work in partnership with a complex business; representing it and iterating with engineers and designers to make it real. At the same time, you’re also able to zoom out and be a part of Product team planning; placing your work within a broader context.
What you'll do
- Embed with an Engineering team to deliver needed features and improvements to our internal API software product.
- Work closely with the VP of Product to support the continuity of work already begun between Product and Engineering
- Quickly grow trusting relationships with colleagues in Engineering and beyond.
- Know what you don’t know and work with stakeholders to ensure we’re meeting the needs of the business
- Amplify and focus the voice of our clients, and everyone who uses our product, as a part of the development process.
- Drive and support timely delivery of work towards our technology product.
- Deliver results: help the team you support to deliver on ambitious goals through your organization, consistency, and focus.
What we're looking for
- Fluency in software development methodologies like Agile, SCRUM, etc.
- Prior successful experience in consulting or contracts of a similar duration.
- Experience developing software in a few fast-paced environments not too different from Spruce.
- Experience in real estate, financial services or related technology in a regulated industry
- A track record of end-to-end work on impactful technology; from idea to adoption.
- A history of using great communication to move work forward; within a project, with stakeholders, and beyond.
- Comfort adapting to and getting ahead of change (like client or internal feedback, changes in product roadmap, etc); helping others to do the same.
- A history of trusting, collaborative work as a part of a cross-functional team; helping others around you learn from your expertise and staying curious yourself.
