The Role

Cedar is improving the healthcare financial experience. Our technology improves the overall experience of patient billing and engagement, enabling providers to thrive in a rapidly changing environment while helping patients understand the cost of their care. 

Cedar is looking for a Product Lead to be accountable for the development and success of a new product offering. At a high-level, the role will involve:

  • Interfacing with clients and internal commercial teams: meeting with external clients and our internal commercial + business teams to gain an understanding of the key problems to focus on and develop strategies for how we plan to solve them
  • Market research and prioritization: partnering with the Initiatives Lead to drive the strategy and prioritization of features for the MVP
  • Product development: working with engineering, design, data science to execute on the roadmap and launch high quality products

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Initiatives Lead to determine and launch the MVP for the new product; ensure the successful expansion of this product offering across key market segments
  • Lead client calls and meetings in order to gain market insights, drive product strategy, and manage go-to-market strategy
  • Investigate and scope which key problems we should tackle
  • Own and develop a roadmap for the product development team (engineering, design, data science) to execute on, which aligns with our overarching product strategy 
  • Drive and improve the product development process with your team, ensuring that features shipped are high-quality and on-time
  • Determine and optimize the key performance indicators for your team
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to create specs and implement features
  • Partner with multiple functions throughout Cedar including sales, account management and operations to ensure seamless delivery
  • Be an evangelist for creating the best product experience that also hits business goals 

Skills & Experience

  • Strong organizational and project management skills 
  • Effective communicator to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable solving big, ambiguous problems
  • Strong bias for action
  • Strong analytical and data driven approach
  • Based in or willing to relocate to NYC
  • Prior B2B product experience in an enterprise client-facing role
  • 5+ years of product management experience working directly with engineers 

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL or other analytical tools
  • Prior knowledge of the healthcare space (providers, insurance companies, tech companies…), specifically within the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) space
