Cadre is seeking an experienced real estate investment professional with a passion for data, analytics, and process improvement to serve as a key member of our growing team. In their role as Product Manager, this individual will be a key contributor to drive Cadre’s focus on improving all aspects of the investment process through the application of data and technology.

The successful candidate will have execution experience and familiarity across the real estate investment life cycle including initial review, underwriting, due diligence, closing, and asset management. The successful candidate will be highly motivated to use this experience to translate today’s largely manual process of real estate investing into a more efficient and streamlined process by leveraging data and technology.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with Cadre’s engineering and investment teams to accelerate the velocity of Cadre’s real estate investing and underwriting process by building towards fully automated screening and underwriting tools
  • Assist in the creation of internal systems, products, and processes that allow for maximum operating efficiencies across Cadre’s investment platform
  • Execute and expand upon Cadre’s data and investment process roadmap
  • Analyse pros and cons of product solutions to recommend internal development or external provider
  • Implement repeatable, scalable investing processes to support platform growth
  • Identify tools and data visualizations to improve the investment team’s ability to more accurately evaluate and underwrite opportunities
  • Work across functional teams in a highly collaborative capacity with the Engineering, Acquisitions, Asset Management, Investor Relations, and Product teams
  • Develop and maintain industry relationships, with a particular focus on real estate operating partners and data firms in order to enhance the effectiveness of our internal efforts
  • Proactively monitor the real estate technology and data space to stay ahead of rapidly evolving industry trends

What You Have:

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience, including direct real estate acquisitions investing experience (ideally at a top-tier real estate private equity firm) with thorough knowledge of the investing process and knowledge across real estate asset classes and industry sectors
  • Strong MS Excel skills and experience with Argus
  • Comfort with a highly-technical, quantitative approach to the real estate investment life cycle
  • Interest and understanding of how technology can enhance the real estate investing process, with a specific desire to shift toward a role and position focused on technology and product development
  • Passion for all aspects of real estate investing, particularly for process improvement, standardization and scalability by leveraging data.
  • Ability to seamlessly work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while managing workflows across multiple functional teams (investments, product and engineering)
  • Ability to effectively identify issues and formulate solutions, often times in unconventional manners
  • Ability to work efficiently with little supervision
  • Excellent problem solving and quantitative skills
  • Entrepreneurial minded
  • Highly organized, motivated, rigorous, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to take risks and accept failure
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of relational databases a plus
