About this Role:


We are looking for a talented, passionate Product Manager to join our team and lead efforts for our Payments platform, which drives efficiency and improves functionality for billing and invoicing our shippers. In this role, you’ll focus on efficiency as you hone in on critical metrics that will directly impact our customer service and increase business within the freight industry. You will also research customer pain points in order to develop a user-friendly solution as you partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at Transfix. Location Note: This role can be either 100% Remote or a hybrid In-office position. However, we value real-time collaboration for our teams and are prioritizing candidates in Eastern, Central and Atlantic time zones for fully remote positions. 


What You’ll Do in this Role:

  • Scope and deliver products that aim to improve Transfix’s ability to collect from shippers and improve the efficiencies within our internal and invoicing processes
  • Partner closely with our Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Carrier Management, and Engineering teams to create and maintain a long-term roadmap for our Payments platform
  • Lead the Payments Product Team and foster cross functional collaboration between product, design, engineering and finance
  • Become the subject matter expert on our Payments Product Squad by familiarizing yourself with all relevant apps, technology and resources within the Transfix payments ecosystem
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to ensure that the product roadmap is aligned with our growth goals while reducing and eliminating pain points for our customers
  • Oversee ensuring that all SOX compliance requirements are met within necessary timelines

How You Know this Role is for You:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in payments, invoicing and/or closely related product management experience
  • You possess a deep understanding of financial tools, as well as accounting systems and processes, and are passionate about continuous improvement in the finance automation space
  • You’re a data and systems-level thinker, and understand how to build out a product roadmap to enhance usability for all stakeholders who operate at these levels 
  • You’re a strong communicator; you’re an expert at translating technical concepts into terms all stakeholders can understand, from product designers and engineers to sales, marketing, account management teams, from entry level to executive level
  • You have a demonstrated history of integrating Payment/Invoicing tools into an existing application/tool
  • You have a proven track record of building strong, productive relationships with stakeholders through your superior communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • You possess keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and auditability from start to finish; for example, when dealing with numbers, you maintain credibility by providing accurate information to all parties involved
  • You have experience with Agile development and/or a similar product development methodology

Location

Transfix's NYC HQ is steps from the Oculus and Fulton Center, with access to subway train lines. We are close to tons of restaurants, shops. We are on the top floor so have wonderful light and breathtaking views, including a spectacular view of One World Trade from our outdoor rooftop deck!
