Product Manager, Hardware
Peloton is seeking a Hardware Product Manager to support and help drive innovation in our Bike portfolio. This individual contributor will serve as the voice of the member throughout the product development lifecycle, and will be responsible for executing portions of the Bike roadmap from ideation through end of life. They will report to the Group Product Manager and work in close partnership with engineering, industrial design, program management, product management, and business teams.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Cultivate a deep understanding of our members and future members & advocate for products & solutions based on their motivations, needs and pain points.
- Oversee Bike programs through the development process - from ideation to end of life.
- Contribute to and execute on portions of the Bike roadmap - managing new, sustaining, and global programs that solve member paint points and align with business objectives.
- Build and share compelling narratives with cross-functional teams, and gain alignment around product strategies and objectives.
- Work collaboratively to define product requirements -- including available markets, pricing, features and performance goals. Masterfully communicate these product requirements to the development team and leadership in both written and presentation form.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with industrial design, engineering & program management to ensure adherence to project objectives, goals & priorities.
- Successfully manage through program setbacks, partnering closely with the core team to root cause issues, make smart trade offs, and ensure the best possible member experience.
- Collaborate with other product managers, including Software and International counterparts to ensure alignment & cohesiveness.
- Validate decisions with user testing and feedback at each development phase, including field testing prior to launch.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and member support on product value proposition, member-facing specifications, and support content prior to launch.
- Monitor and report on identified success metrics for all products. Analyze insights to prioritize sustaining improvements and inform next generation product requirements.
- Bring knowledge of hardware and electronics development, including development process, materials, manufacturing, testing, firmware, regulatory compliance, and packaging.
- Stay updated on industry news and trends
WHO YOU ARE:
- 3+ years of Product Management experience developing hardware.
- An analytical problem solver who is curious, deeply empathetic and leads with a user-centered approach, backed by data-driven rigor and an attention to detail
- Have a history of listening to users, understanding their needs and developing solutions to meet those needs.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Highly collaborative and willing to give and receive constructive feedback
- Experience collaborating with technical and design teams.
- Experience with Agile methodologies a plus
