Product Manager (Initiatives)
The Role
Cedar is improving the healthcare financial experience. Our technology improves the overall experience of patient billing and engagement, enabling providers to thrive in a rapidly changing environment while helping patients understand the cost of their care.
Cedar is looking for a Product Manager to be accountable for the development and success of a new product offering. At a high-level, the role will involve:
- Interfacing with clients and internal commercial teams: meeting with external clients and our internal commercial + business teams to gain an understanding of the key problems to focus on and how we plan to solve them
- Market research and prioritization: working with the product lead to drive the strategy and prioritization of features for the MVP
- Product development: working with your squad (design, engineering, and data science) to execute on the roadmap and launch high quality products
Responsibilities
- Work with the product lead to determine the MVP for the new product offering
- Join client calls and meetings in order to gain market insights and drive strategic prioritization decisions
- Investigate and scope which key problems we should tackle
- Own and develop a roadmap for the product development team (engineering, design, data science) to execute on, which aligns with our overarching product strategy
- Determine and optimize the key performance indicators for your team
- Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to create specs and implement features
- Drive and improve the product development process with your team, ensuring that features shipped are high-quality and on-time
- Coordinate with multiple functions throughout Cedar including sales, account management and operations to ensure seamless delivery
- Be an evangelist for creating the best product experience that also hits business goals
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Effective communicator to both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and data driven approach
- Based in or willing to relocate to NYC
- 2+ years of product management experience working directly with engineers
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with SQL or other analytical tools
- Prior knowledge of the healthcare space (providers, insurance companies, tech companies…), specifically within the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) space
