Role Overview

 

We are looking for a Product Manager to be a key member of our smart, fun, fast-moving team using lean/agile principles to operate in a scrum team environment. This role will report to the Head of Product and is based in Midtown Manhattan.

 

The product manager will develop and execute on the detailed product roadmap. In this role, you will work with stakeholders, editorial, growth, design, and engineering to test, define, and deliver features that meet customer needs and drive user engagement.

Key Goals:

  • Build features that drive top of funnel organic search and social traffic
  • Engage audiences based on where they are in their customer journey
  • Partner with growth team to create repeat visit behavior, particularly through email and social

What You Will Do:

  • Act as the voice of the customer in the definition of innovative digital product solutions
  • Work with Design and Growth teams to understand user personas, pain points and customer journey
  • Provide insights into product, technology, and industry trends
  • Develop feature lists, user stories, and roadmaps
  • Gather and consolidate product feedback through surveys, concept testing, analytics tools, and A/B testing
  • Monitor and report on product KPIs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to scope, design, concept test, and deliver innovative solutions
  • Be a champion of the MVP concept
  • Assist with the development of business cases and operating plans
  • Develop materials/dashboards to communicate progress to key stakeholders

Who You Are:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution
  • 3+ years experience as a Product Manager for consumer-facing mobile app and/or Web properties
  • A demonstrated and focused desire to build consumer-facing products and services that customers love
  • Working knowledge of agile principles and scrum development framework
  • Demonstrated experience launching consumer-facing digital products
  • Experience with CMS-driven Websites and internal editorial user features
  • Ability to work with database-focused product features
  • Experience with live chat or similar third party software integrations
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • The ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Self-motivation, independent initiative and creative problem-solving
  • A diligent attention to detail and strong technical intuition
