About Us:

At nTopology, we are passionate about building next-generation engineering solutions. We enable the most innovative engineering companies in the world to transform how they develop, test, and manufacture better products faster. Our software has been used to engineer mission-critical satellites, deliver stronger and lighter medical implants for patients in need, and allow engineers to create complex, high-performance products never before possible. And our technology enables companies to fully utilize advanced manufacturing methods like 3D Printing.

If a fast-paced, collaborative and high-performing environment excites you, we'd love for you to join us. We are looking to add smart ambitious teammates who are passionate about problem-solving and passionate about technology.

We empower our product teams to solve hard problems – customer problems and business problems – in ways that our customers love, yet work for our business. Our product teams are cross-functional and durable, generally comprising a product manager, a product designer, and several engineers. While we empower our product teams to figure out the best solutions to the problems that need to be solved, we also hold those teams accountable to the results.

This product manager role is for our simulation and optimization team. Working with their team and other stakeholders across the company, this role is expected to continuously discover opportunities and solutions that deliver unique customer value. Applications include performance-driven cellular structures, multi-functional design, finite element analysis, and topology optimization, among others. This necessitates a passion for our customers’ problems, a thorough understanding of our product’s unique capabilities, and broad knowledge of modern simulation and optimization technologies.

This role reports to the Group Product Manager of Applications and is open to candidates in Eastern or Central Time zones.

What You'll Do

  • Work with the Group Product Manager and other stakeholders to translate market opportunities into product strategies and a product roadmap.
  • Scope and prioritize activities to execute on a product roadmap.
  • Write high-level requirements and product specifications for the engineering teams.
  • Launch new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly.
  • Work collaboratively with the broader product team, engineering, marketing, sales, legal, and other teams.
  • Support other teams including sales, marketing, and customer success with enablement material and content.
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.

Who You Are

  • Three or more years experience with technology-powered products in a product management position. If no product management experience, five to eight years experience in technical pre-sales, engineering, or customer support.
  • Demonstrated use of relevant engineering software or knowledge of enterprise CAE, CAD or PLM applications.
  • A BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant science field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and software delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areas of business – engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
  • Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.
  • A passion for 3-D modeling, advanced manufacturing, programming, or other kinds of making.
