The Role: 

The Newsela Product Operations team is doubling down on scalability, with an emphasis on systems and documentation. As the Product Operations Lead, you will be responsible for designing and implementing process improvements across our Product org, owning Product department financial processes, and managing communication systems between the Product org and the rest of Newsela. Reporting to the Product Operations Manager, you’ll work closely with our Tech, Design, Content, Data, Marketing, and Sales teams to smooth operations and communications on product launches, announcements, and process improvements.

You are a detail-oriented, proactive planner who can seamlessly navigate complex problems, scope, and build system-wide processes. You’re an effective communicator who always seeks input from key stakeholders to drive alignment and deep understanding of the project at hand, while providing transparency and key information to all teammates from engineers to product managers, to executive team members. You have also demonstrated the ability to lead teams, meetings, and process to decision/action without formal authority. Bonus points if you have experience with financial processes, financial stakeholders, and/or high competency in excel.
