ABOUT THE ROLE:

Product Operations builds the connective tissue between our product management + product design teams, MANTL’s engineering function, and our customer-facing teams, so that we can deliver increased value to financial institutions faster. Product Operations resides within the larger Product Development Division, and the Product Operations Manager role reports directly to the head of Product Operations, a member of the Product Leadership team.

As a Product Operations Manager at MANTL, you will define and implement processes and workflows to drive consistent delivery of product initiatives. You are data driven, results oriented and execution focused and can operate with autonomy and drive product planning and execution. Cross-functional agility is essential and you will work closely with Product, Engineering and Revenue teams to drive growth. You play a crucial role in improving customer experience and growth by moving MANTL to action via customer insights. You come to the table with a strong understanding of program management, analytics, and the ability to tell a compelling story with data. You’re ready to dive deep into customer journeys to understand and empathize with customer pain points and identify opportunities to enhance our products, services and customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand our product roadmap, use cases, customer needs, and overall vision by identifying, measuring, analyzing and tracking core product and business levers: assess opportunities for improvement, identify potential opportunities or problems, diagnose root cause, and conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • Create and deliver accurate, high-quality reports, analyses, insights, updates and other tools to drive Product leadership decisions around strategic and operational questions. Key questions may include how to improve product discovery, processes, or voice of the customer.
  • Lead execution of strategic, analytical, and technical projects. For example, growth focused projects may include go-to-market, product releases, and new product launches; and scale focused projects may include opportunity assessment and process improvement.
  • Scale MANTL’s Voice of the Customer (VoC) Framework, ensuring customer feedback is incorporated in best practices across MANTL. Develop a deep understanding of our customers' end-to-end experiences by gathering and analyzing structured and unstructured data (customer interviews, user testing, support tickets, surveys, social media, etc.).
  • Lead cross-functional insight reviews and action-planning meetings with internal stakeholders, increasing the understanding of how the product is being used in the real world across the product development function.
  • Own product launch readiness, ensuring that customer-facing teams are prepared with the information, documents, and processes required to support new products.
  • Develop processes & tools and share your thought leadership on how to run efficient development partnerships and betas launches at MANTL.
  • Own communicating updates, changes, and risks to key stakeholders throughout the Product Development, Operations & Revenue organizations to ensure alignment and transparency.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in a combination of product operations, product management, consulting, project / program management or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience managing technical cross-functional projects / programs
  • You have experience working with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and Sales Leaders as your customers
  • You have experience working with Product and Engineering leaders - serving as a thought partner with a bias towards pragmatic product execution
  • You are an awesome project and program manager with a track record of leading and proactively managing end-to-end execution of projects/programs - for example, go-to-market strategy, product delivery, and process improvement
  • You understand the evolution of product development processes and the tech tools stack in a hyper growth company
  • You have a passion for delivering an outstanding user experience and can develop a deep understanding of a complex product and its use cases
  • You enjoy digging deep into the data, analyzing user feedback and using these insights to drive product improvements
  • You are familiar with a variety of discovery and research techniques (quantitative and qualitative)
  • You have a talent for building empathy for user problems
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are great at explaining highly technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences, including analyzing and communicating results to senior management
  • You have strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases and drive improvements
  • You have a can-do attitude and ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Background in finance, FinTech, or banking software
  • Experience working at a venture-backed startup
  • Experience crafting and delivering client-facing communications and leading external calls
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and FreshDesk
  • Proficiency with Excel and SQL
