Product Operations Manager
Compass is looking for a Product Operations Manager to oversee vendor management including the manufacturing of it’s proprietary, internet-enabled device.
Candidates should have minimally 7 years of production/manufacturing management experience primarily from within a process manufacturing environment. You should be an expert in modern manufacturing processes, product & project management and vendor sourcing.
Key success factors for this role include accurate estimating, timely fulfillment, ongoing SLA excellence, ongoing cost improvements and the ability to craft world-class internal training materials & processes when needed.
This position requires the individual to maintain positive and cooperative working relations with a broad audience of customers and vendors as well as internal cross-departmental staff. The ideal candidate will drive improvements, ensuring efficiencies up and down the manufacturing workflow.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Build manufacturing process from the ground up. Once established, will oversee and manage the Master Scheduling, Material Resource Planning, and Production Control Activity.
- Create per-project and annual budgets; manage actual costs against budgeted costs on a per-project and annual basis. Run quarterly analytics to determine possible new strategies, possible changes in purchasing and inventory patterns, etc.
- Ensure inventory is adequate based on our hyper-growth. Constantly review pricing to ensure that the program is as profitable as possible.
- Manage integration, quality testing, and file delivery to new offshore vendors.
- Maintain relationships with printing partners. Investigate and assess potential vendors including offshore vendors.
- Review process improvements at both the vendor and Compass sides so that we may improve pricing and speed up delivery schedules.
- Conduct periodic checks/analyses to ensure that current vendors are providing competitive pricing and standardized Compass specifications are current and reflect product needs.
Qualifications and Competency Requirements:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in materials, manufacturing and fulfillment management, forecasting quantitative analysis and inventory management.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices.
- Detail-oriented and highly skilled at collaborative management, team building and developing strong organizational relationships.
- Proven time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Possesses excellent communication, organizational and planning skills.
Physical requirements
Business travel is expected.
